According to the Ministry’s statement, during the holy month of Ramadan, private sector institutions will be required to adhere to a maximum of 36 working hours per week. Additionally, the daily working hours will be limited to 6 hours per day. This adjustment comes in line with the existing Labour Law to ensure that workers’ rights and well-being are maintained during this sacred time.
Ramadan, a time for reflection and spiritual growth, often brings changes to the daily routines of both public and private sector employees. The reduced working hours will allow employees in the private sector to balance work commitments with their religious practices and family obligations during the month of fasting.
Employers are urged to ensure they comply with the new regulations and make the necessary adjustments to maintain a healthy work-life balance for their teams. The Ministry’s announcement is part of its ongoing efforts to support workers and uphold fair labor standards throughout the year.
As Ramadan 2025 approaches, employees and employers alike are advised to stay informed and prepared for the adjustments to working hours in the private sector.
Stay tuned for more updates on any further changes or developments related to working conditions during Ramadan!
