Working Hours for Government Sector Announced for Ramadan 2025 in Qatar

The Cabinet of Qatar has officially announced the working hours for the government sector during Ramadan 2025, aligning with recommendations from the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau.

Key Highlights:

  • Work Hours: Civil servants will work a 5-hour day, from 9 AM to 2 PM.
  • Flexible Start Times: Employees have the option to start work as late as 10 AM, as long as they fulfill their 5-hour workday.
  • Remote Work Opportunities: Up to 30% of the workforce can work remotely, with priority given to Qatari mothers and individuals with disabilities, ensuring that operational needs are met.
  • Sector-Specific Hours: The Ministry of Public Health and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education will determine their own working hours based on specific operational needs.
